How to Apply to the International OCD Foundation Research Grant

  1. An account will need to be created before you can submit your grant. Register online by clicking “Register here” or “Create New Account”

  2. Fill out “User Account” fields to create your account.
  3. You can submit your grant by going to the tab “Submit Grant” on the top of the page.




  4. Create your grant by filling out all fields:
    • Grant Title
    • Principal Investigator First and Last Name
    • Principal Investigator Degree
    • Email Address
    • Phone Number
    • Name of Applicant Organization
    • Total Amount Requested




  5. Additional Investigators listed by First Name, Last Name, Degree – Role in Study. (If you need to add more click on “Add Another Item”).



  6. Upload the Biographical Sketches for the Principal Investigator, Co-Investigators and Collaborators (each 4 pages maximum). You can find a template and instructions here.
  7. An abstract/brief synopsis (Content limited to 1500 characters) clearly describing your project in language suitable for the lay readers.
  8. Upload grant as 1 attachment – instructions for the research proposal can be found under “Guidelines”. The research grant proposal should be no more than 5 pages for Young Investigator/Fellow Award, and 10 pages for Breakthrough Awards. When submitting your grant (under “Detailed Grant Proposal Information Upload”), please include the research proposal with the following administrative and supporting materials**:

    1. A cover sheet listing the name, address, phone, fax and email of PI as well as the sponsoring institution.
    2. An abstract/brief synopsis (Content limited to 1500 characters) clearly describing your project in language suitable for the lay readers.
    3. A narrative budget justification. Note: Please review Budget Guidelines and the policy on overhead and indirect costs for the Young Investigator/Fellow Award and Breakthrough Awards.
    4. Detailed budget for one year. Please use template provided.
    5. Letters of support.
    6. Bibliographic references

    **The pages consisting of the administrative and supportive materials do not count toward the five-page Proposal page limit for Young Investigator/Fellow Awards or the ten-page limit for Breakthrough Awards.

  9. Click on the “Area of Grant Study” that best fits your research proposal.
  10. Hit “SAVE” when you are ready to submit your proposal. You will be able to edit any submitted grants until the submission deadline by going to the My Grants page.
